How to identify the size of rubbertracks

It is very common that the sizes are simply engraved on the rubber (like the tyres of a car). If this inscription cannot be read or is missing, do not panic. You can find it in measuring your track.

To measure your tracks, there are 3 information to know.

For more convenience, we will take as example the track of the KUBOTA K030-

Sizes 300x52.5x80 N.

A. Width of the track

The easiest indicator to fin dis also the first part of the size. In our example the track has a width of « 300 », which corresponds to a width of track of 300 mm.

= 300x

B. Length of  pitch

It is the size between two links (or the size of a hole + a link). This second indicator is also the second part of the size. In our example the pitch is “52.5”, which corresponds to a pitch of 52.5 mm.

= 300x52.5

C. Number of links

You just have to count all the links of your track.

In our example, our track has 80 links.

= 300x52.5x80

You will notice that some tracks have a character besides the width, the pitch and the number of links.

In our example, our track has a N : 300x52.5x80N. This character is very important. It gives us an indication of the form of the rubber’s guideway.

Please note that these characters can change depending on the marks and origins.
